How You Can Help

Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) is a mission-driven news organization providing trusted, independent journalism in 23 countries where a free press is restricted or under threat. With the sudden loss of U.S. government–funded research contracts, the organization must now reestablish its own research and analytics capabilities from the ground up.

RFE/RL’s Audience & Growth team is highly respected across the organization for guiding strategy and providing vital insights. But after decades of relying on outside contractors, the team must now build the skills to independently design, manage, and deliver research projects.

Volunteers can provide training and mentorship in research project management, data integration, and reporting. By working closely with a small but dedicated team, you’ll help them gain confidence, expand technical skills, and operate more nimbly in fast-changing environments. This opportunity is ideal for research leaders, consultants, or trainers who want to pass on knowledge that will strengthen the resilience of independent journalism for years to come.
